Privacy policy
What personal data Foodi-AI collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. Written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
Who is responsible for your data
The controller for the personal data described here is:
Foodi-AI B.V., Bussum, Netherlands
Email: privacy@foodi-ai.com
Chamber of Commerce (KvK): 42150078
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to under Article 37 GDPR. Privacy questions go to the address above and are answered by us directly.
Short summary
This website uses no advertising cookies and no analytics tracking. We do not profile visitors, we do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. If you join the early access list, we store your email address to contact you about Foodi-AI and nothing else. Affiliate cookies are placed only if you actively accept them, and you can withdraw that at any time.
What we collect and why
Server log data
Our web server automatically records technical data for every request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, HTTP status, referring page and browser user-agent string. This is standard for any web server and is used for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults. We do not use these logs to build profiles of visitors or to track individuals across sessions.
Early access sign-up
If you submit the form on our early access page, we collect the email address you enter. We use it only to inform you about Foodi-AI's development, to invite you to test the application, and to ask for your feedback. We do not use it for unrelated advertising and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing. Every message we send includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.
Messages you send us
If you email us, we process your email address, your message and anything you choose to include in it, so that we can answer you and keep a record of the exchange.
Cookie consent choice
Your cookie choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key foodi-consent. It records only whether you accepted or declined affiliate cookies, and when. It stays in your browser, is not sent to us, and contains no identifier for you.
Affiliate cookies
Only if you accept them, following a partner link allows the destination shop and its affiliate network to place cookies in order to attribute a purchase to Foodi-AI. Those cookies are set by the shop and the network, not by us, under their own privacy policies. We receive commission reports containing aggregate figures, not the identity of individual buyers. Full detail is on our cookie policy page.
What we do not collect
- No advertising or analytics cookies, and no tracking pixels.
- No health data through this website. If a future version of the Foodi-AI application processes health information, that will be governed by its own privacy terms, which you will be asked to accept separately.
- No location data, contact lists, or device identifiers.
- No purchase or payment data. Nothing is sold on this website.
Legal bases for processing
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis (Art. 6 GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Server logs | Security, fault diagnosis, abuse prevention | Legitimate interest, 6(1)(f) |
| Email address (early access) | Updates and test invitations | Consent, 6(1)(a) |
| Correspondence | Answering your message | Legitimate interest, 6(1)(f) |
| Affiliate cookies | Commission attribution | Consent, 6(1)(a) |
Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place lawfully before you withdrew.
Who else sees your data
We share personal data only with parties who need it in order to provide this website, and only for that purpose:
- Our hosting provider, which operates the server and therefore processes server logs on our instructions.
- Our email provider, for correspondence and early access messages.
- Affiliate networks and partner shops, but only after you accept affiliate cookies, and only to the extent described above.
- Google, if you voluntarily choose to open our optional feedback survey, which is hosted on Google Forms. That is a separate service under Google's own privacy policy; nothing is sent to Google unless you open the survey yourself.
We do not sell personal data, we do not rent it, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Transfers outside the EEA
Our website and email are operated within the European Economic Area. If you choose to use the optional Google Forms survey, data you enter there may be processed in the United States by Google under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Using the survey is entirely optional.
How long we keep data
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Server logs | Up to 12 months, then deleted |
| Early access email address | Until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, or until the programme ends |
| Correspondence | Up to 24 months after the last message |
| Cookie consent choice | In your browser until you clear it or change your choice |
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. We limit the personal data we collect in the first place, which is the most effective protection available to us, and access to the data we do hold is restricted to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a data breach occurs that is likely to present a risk to you, we will notify you and the Dutch Data Protection Authority as required by Articles 33 and 34 GDPR.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access: ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Rectification: have inaccurate data corrected.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data.
- Restriction: ask us to limit how we use it.
- Portability: receive data you gave us in a machine-readable format.
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Withdraw consent: at any time, without giving a reason.
Write to privacy@foodi-ai.com. We answer within one month, as required by Article 12(3) GDPR. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request, so that we do not disclose someone's data to the wrong person. Exercising these rights is free of charge.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will say so clearly rather than quietly revise the text.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. We would rather fix it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl, or with the supervisory authority in your own EU country of residence.
